Kimberlli Walker Founder has worked 35 years as a motivating force in the health, wellness industry and human services sector. Born and raised in Dorchester, Massachusetts, Kimberlli received her education in the classroom’s of Boston’s Academe. Kim received her higher education from University of Tampa, University of Massachusetts, Cambridge College and Harvard School of Education. She completed her initial 200-hour Yoga training and higher 500-hour Ayurveda training under esteemed Bay Area instructors at Namaste in Oakland, California.
Kimberlli founded the Healthworks Foundation Fitness Center in 2000–a mind, body, and spirit wellness center specifically designed for women and children transitioning out of homelessness. Through her convication that women are the nucleus of the community, Kimberlli and her team of staff and volunteers developed comprehensive programming that has engaged over 5,000 homeless women and girls in the practice of self care and self-preservation.
Kim is presently teaching classes at Karma Yoga Tribe’s pop-up events throughout the Bay Area, and as a teacher of select classes at Spirit Rock Meditation Center in Woodacre, California.
Selena Feliciano Teacher turns to yoga as a liberating foundation for focus and self-reflection. Active in vocal performance, theater, and travel, she finds solace in the calm reprieve that yoga grants from the hectic elements of a daily life off of the mat. Selena began her journey with yoga in high school, and is moved, years later, by the inspiration she draws from her peers and students for a continued study of the ancient practice. Her classes are accessible for practitioners of all levels, emphasizing complementary mental and physical strength-building that links the ebbs and flows of breath with mindful movement. Selena aims to help others explore new layers in their practice and energize awareness in mind, body, and soul.Mexico, raised in Texas, and moved to California to study Anthropology. She fell head over heels in love with yoga in 2003 and has been practicing ever since.
Dalila Solis Teacher was born in Dalila is trained as a yoga instructor and continues to study and explore many different styles of yoga–Hatha, Vinyasa, Bhakti, Shadow, Kundalini, Yin and Restorative–weaving elements and synthesizing new teachings into her classes. She also studies Thai massage as well as Ayurveda–living in tune with the seasons and elements and using food as medicine to heal and nourish. Her studies in Ayurveda and the healing arts inform her yoga classes. Dalila lives in Oakland with her boyfriend, two dogs and a cat. When Dalila is not on the mat, you can find her enjoying the outdoors, traveling, cooking, gardening, making art and loving life.
Sam Weiss, a Bay Area native, has been practicing yoga for over 10 years. Her passion for mindfulness and integrating yoga into life on and off the mat has driven her practice as a teacher and student. She strives to help her students become aware of and integrate their mind, body and breath through postures and meditation. She has been teaching mindfulness meditation and asana to education and health professionals, and started a yoga program for teenage girls at an at-risk girls home in Cambodia during her Peace Corps service. Her background as an educator, working as a middle school English teacher in Boston, teacher trainer in Cambodia and currently in building collaborations between public school districts in California is inspired by her work to promote equity and access for all students. She is excited to join the Karma Yoga Tribe and teach classes for students of all abilities, backgrounds and ages.
